Teresa Marshall, PhD, is a registered dietitian and a professor in the Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry at the University of Iowa. Her primary research interests focus on the relationships among diet, nutrition, oral health and systemic health. Dr. Marshall has engaged with national and international groups to understand, educate and advocate for caries prevention, with an emphasis on diet. She is a member of multiple professional nutrition and dental organizations, a board member of the American Academy of Cariology and a past research editor for the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
