Dr. Mohammed H. Elnagar is an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). He earned his D.D.S. with honors as valedictorian, followed by a General Practice Residency, a Master of Dental Science, an orthodontic certificate and a Ph.D. in Oral Health Sciences from UIC. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Elnagar practices in Chicago, focusing on digital orthodontics, skeletal anchorage and surgical orthodontics. He directs the Digital and AI Laboratory at UIC, with research interests in artificial intelligence in healthcare, 3D imaging, 3D printing and translational research.
He has received multiple AAOF awards, including the Burstone-Indiana Biomechanics Award and is a Burstone Fellow. In 2026, he was elected to the AAO National Committee on Technology (CTECH). He has authored over 55 publications, 7 book chapters and delivered 100+ invited lectures worldwide.
