Dr. Anthony Morlandt, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S., is Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UAB Medicine and Director of the Head and Neck Oncology Fellowship Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his D.D.S. magna cum laude from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He further specialized with a fellowship in head and neck oncology and microvascular surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville.
Dr. Morlandt is an Associate Scientist with the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and member of the American Head and Neck Society, he is recognized for his contributions to education and research, including receiving the AAOMS Faculty Educator Development Award. His clinical and academic interests focus on oral oncology, microvascular reconstruction and improving early detection and outcomes in head and neck cancer.
