Dr. Praveen Arany is trained as a dentist, oral pathologist and biomedical engineer. He served as an Assistant Clinical Investigator at NIDCR/NIH, Bethesda and is currently an Associate Professor, with tenure at the University at Buffalo, NY. He has 6 patents, over 150 scientific publications with over 12000 citations and an h-index of 43. His research has been featured in many mainstream media highlights in over 70 countries. He has received numerous national and international awards, speaks in various forums, serves as a reviewer and editorial boards and routinely reviews grants for global agencies. He is the Chair of the PBM group in Optica (OSA) and the past-president of World & North American Association for Photobiomodulation Therapy and the Lasers Biophotonics Group, International Association of Dental Research. Dr. Arany has played a key role in organizing the PBM field with nomenclature as a MeSH term in Pubmed; novel PBM molecular mechanism with TGF-beta 1 a driving tissue resilience, regeneration and immunomodulation; clinical and molecular biomarkers and novel dose (Photonic fluence and Einstein) for safe and effective PBM clinical protocols.
