Hatice Hasturk, D.D.S., Ph.D., is a senior member of the staff and the director of the Center for Clinical and Translational Research Center at the ADA Forsyth Institute in Cambridge, MA. She also is an adjunct associate professor at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine and a lecturer at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine. She is a board-certified periodontist, practicing part time along with her research activities. Dr. Hasturk's research has focused on the mechanisms between periodontitis and systemic inflammatory diseases, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease and the treatment of periodontal diseases by regulation of inflammatory response. Dr. Hasturk is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2021 ADA Norton Ross Award for Excellence in Clinical Research.
